Radiant is a damage type.

  • Radiant damage is divine power that smites the body and overloads the soul, burning away wickedness and decay. It has the potential to obliterate both flesh and stone.
  • Radiance damage is often associated with the afterlife. Only magic or supernatural forces are known to cause radiant damage, but intense beams of artificial energy might be able to do so as well.
  • Often, radiant damage is the positive counterpart to the negative necrotic damage.
  • Sources of radiant damage are likely to cause the Highlighted condition, and sometimes the Ignited condition.
  • Beings of life and light, such as celestials, often resist radiant damage. Undead and fiends are the most likely creatures to be vulnerable to it.
