Homebrew Feats
- General Feats -- not in any of the below categories
- Epic Feats -- only available to Epic characters
- Variant Feats -- Homebrew variants of existing feats
- Role Playing Feats -- Feats that involve roleplaying
- Feats by class special
- Class Feats -- require a class special ability, replaces [Special]
- Animal Companion Feats -- require a Druid's / Ranger's animal companion
- Dark Feats -- require a Dark Knight's Darkness class feature
- Death Attack Feats -- requires the Assassin's Death Attack
- Divine Feats -- require the ability to Turn or Rebuke Undead
- Familiar Feats -- require a familiar
- Favored Enemy Feats -- require the Ranger's Favored Enemy class feature
- Fighter Feats -- can be taken as fighter bonus feats
- Hex Feats -- require Hexblade class features such as Curse or Aura of Unluck
- Martial Style Feats -- require Monk class features such as Flurry of Blows
- Maneuvers -- A set of feats that mostly allow special offensive or defensive moves within combat.
- Music Feats -- require bardic music (note: the NBoF uses the [Song] descriptor for these)
- Rage Feats -- require Barbarian Rage or a similar ability
- Smite Feats -- require Paladin's Smite Evil or a similar ability
- Sneak Attack Feats -- require and enhance a Rogue's Sneak Attack
- Category:Turning Feat -- grant a Turning ability that is not Turn Undead (see Divine feats for that)
- Wild Feats -- require druidic Wild Shape
- Witchcraft Feats -- require the Witch's Witchcraft class feature

- Aerial Feats -- require the ability to fly
- Character Creation Feats -- Feats available at character creation
- Birth feats -- same as above (merge?)
- Regional feats -- available to characters from a certain region in a campaign setting
- Invocation Feats -- for the Warlock
- Leadership Feats -- require and enhance the Leadership feat
- Legacy Feats -- allow to perform legacy rituals
- Magical Feats -- require and enhance spellcasting
- Arcane Feats -- require the ability to cast arcane spells
- Metamagic Feats -- boost spells in exchange for a higher spell slot
- Necromantic Feats -- boost the power of created undead
- Reserve Feats -- Free magical effects as long as certain spell are prepared.
- Psionic Feats-- require and enhance psionics
- DnD Antipsionic Feats -- cannot be taken by psionic characters or creatures
- Metapsionic Feats -- boost psionic powers in exchange for higher point cost
- The Gift Feats -- make use of an alternative Psionics system
