Nice and straight-foward, I can't see any balance issues. Marasmusine (talk) 03:22, 7 March 2020 (MST)

  • Oppose — I really don't like this item. Beyond just being bland, I have major balance concerns about this shield. First, I don't know what to do with the item's rarity. The comparable eyes of charming are uncommon and don't need to be held to be used unlike this item. However, the shield spell is incredibly powerful for a 1st level spell. In addition, trying to adjust the number of times you can use the shield spell to balance this item will either make the item feel not good to use or make the item too powerful. Besides that, I also dislike how this item impacts a game. Once given out, your pcs have this item and it really can only only be taken away by DM fiat. But once it is given out, this item increases a pcs survivability by an absurd amount due to the nature of bounded accuracy. This shield, by itself, possibly requires a DM have to play around a pc having this item due to the total +7 AC this item can provide. Because of these issues, I do not believe this item should be a quality article.--Blobby383b (talk) 20:23, 30 October 2021 (MDT)
  • Oppose. I'm no expert on balance but this mostly just seems boring.--Yanied (talk) 20:31, 30 October 2021 (MDT)
  • Oppose. Only seems particularly useful for warlocks or non-casters, and even then, 3 1st level spells feels like a waste of a rare item. Also, as above, kinda boring. --SwankyPants (talk) 20:37, 30 October 2021 (MDT)
