Drawing from the air around your weapon, it lights aflame as you strike.
You touch a weapon that you are weilding and it begins to glow yellow and white with heat. Your next attack with the enchanted weapon deals additional fire damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting modifier. If the next attack with the enchanted weapon is unsuccessful, then the effect ends. If you do not attack with the enchanted weapon by the end of your next turn, the effect ends. If you critically fail on your next attack with the enchanted weapon, you suffer spell damage and the pain forces you to drop your weapon. If you are immune to fire damage, you suffer no damage and are not forced to drop the enchanted weapon.
At Higher Levels. The spell’s damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6+your spellcasting modifier), 11th level (3d6+your spell casting modifier), and 17th level (4d6+your spell casting modifier).
