Reversal (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
|2nd-level Transmutation (ritual)|
|Casting time:||1 Action|
|Components:||V,S,M (a clear quartz worth at least 25 gp)|
You touch one willing creature or object that is affected by a spell effect of any kind. If the effect's spell level is 1 or a cantrip that is not being concentrated on by the caster, it is made null. If the effect is being concentrated on and has multiple saves, the creature you touched gains advantage on their next saving throw against it. If the effect does not have multiple saves, this spell can be used to give the creature another saving throw. Objects do not get saving throws, making it useless to cast this spell under a concentration spell on such an object.
For example, a creature under the effects of Charm Person touched by you would instantly be free of those effects while a creature under the effects of Bane would gain advantage on their next Charisma save to end the effect.
For another example, an object under the effects of Chloromorpho would immediately lose those properties. However, a light cast by the Dancing Lights cantrip would not be affected by this spell.
At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell at higher levels, the highest affected spell level is one less than what you cast. For every two levels above 2nd, the quartz costs an additional 25 gp. Casting the spell as a ritual at a higher level requires a number of minutes equal to 10 * the spell level. For example, a 5th level ritual casting of Reversal would effects cantrips and 1st to 4th level spell effects, require a 75 gp quartz, and would take 50 minutes to cast.
