Evocation cantrip
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S, M (a pinch of ash and salt)
Duration: Instantaneous

You extend your hand and a volcanic explosion sears your foe, taking more damage if they took fire damage previously. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 fire damage. If the target has taken fire damage this round, it instead takes 2d6 fire damage. A flammable object hit by this spell ignites if it isn't being worn or carried.

The spell's initial damage increases by 1d8 or 2d6 for the alternate damage when you reach 5th level (2d8 or 4d6), 11th level (3d8 or 6d6), and 17th level (4d8 or 8d6).
