Corrosive Flame
1st-level Evocation
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Invoking the chaotic nature of fire, you set a single target within range ablaze with ethereal green flames by snapping your fingers. On cast, the target takes 1d4 fire damage and is set ablaze. At the start of their next turn, they must make a Constitution saving throw to put out the flames, or take 2d4 fire damage. Each turn the target fails to put out the flames causes them to burn more intensely, adding an additional 1d4 fire damage per turn. The fire persists for the duration unless extinguished with a successful saving throw.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage (both initial and later) increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.
