How much movement does the dimensional shambler need to have to teleport to another plane? Couldn't you just allow it to cast plane shift on itself? SirSprinkles (talk) 03:50, 5 August 2017 (MDT)

All monsters that can plane shift do so with innate spellcasting (Cambion, Githzerai, Mind Flaye, etc), so I think the dimensional shamber should too. Players should be given chance to Counterspell it to preventing it from using this. I'm a little concerned that this is a CR 4 monster can drag unwilling 4th-level PCs to some godforsaken part of Limbo and abandon them there. Going to the planes at such low level might be fine if it's part of a (very careful) storyline, but I don't think the combat actions of a monster should be doing this.
