Discussion[edit]

Are there more grounds for needsbalance other than a singular trait that is used by 1st party in a official setting (adventurer's league)? BigShotFancyMan (talk) 13:10, 8 May 2018 (MDT)

I don't think it's that overpowered. You could change the wording to that of a gnome and it wouldn't be that much different. But I suppose that would help tamp it down?--Yanied (talk) 11:03, 8 November 2019 (MST)
Magic Resistance is practically half as useful as Gnome Cunning; and personally I'd still take halfling's Lucky trait over it. I disagree with the statement, "No race should be allowed to have it."
While I generally dislike race meters, even Marasmusine Meter (5e Guideline) ranks the trait as 2.5—which is balanced enough if the race has almost nothing else going for it power-wise.
I think this race is a bit munchkiny (especially for a rogue), but I think it would be fine with any one of several possible nerfs. Just taking away Insanity would be enough, I think, even if derro kept Magic Resistance. - Guy 13:23, 8 November 2019 (MST)
That sounds like a good compromise. Thanks Guy--Yanied (talk) 18:00, 8 November 2019 (MST)
