Keen Smell. The wosu has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Multiattack. The wosu makes two attacks: one with its bristle and one with its shortsword.

Bristle. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

BONUS ACTIONS

Aggressive. The wosu moves up to its speed toward a hostile creature that it can see.

Aggressive canine humanoids, wosu are a reason to fear the depths of forests and abandoned temples. They hunt down isolated humanoids for weapons and armor as well as meat. Their long, bounding strides make it difficult for prey to outrun them.

Scavengers by Nature. Wosu are most commonly found in the ruins of villages and other structures once populated by races like hylians and sheikah. Here they operate in loose tribes, living off the remains of greater civilizations. When forced to hunt, their favored prey would be an isolated humanoid, who has become separated from a larger group.

Collective Aggression. Although wosu prefer to avoid battle, once their tribe begins combat, they do not cease. Every single one of them will charge down all foes until all are slain, or their entire tribe is wiped out.

Tin Fur. Wosu are occasionally called “tin suits” or “tin soldiers.” This name is derived from the metallic fur that covers their bodies, which has consistency reminiscent of sewing needles. Traditional weapons have a difficult time piercing it.

Variant: Feral Wosu[edit]

This variant relies on teeth and bristles in place of scavenged armaments, but is even more wild and ferocious than normal. Thanks to improved natural armor, its AC is 14. Its actions are replaced with the following:

Multiattack: The wosu makes four attacks: one with its bite and three with its bristles.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage.
Bristle. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

This variant has an increased Challenge Rating of 1/2 (100 XP).

Variant: Shield and Javelin[edit]

This variant's weaponry enables a more defensive combat style. The wosu's shield improves its AC to 15. Its actions are replaced with the following:

Multiattack: The wosu makes two attacks: one with its bristle and one with its javelin.
Bristle. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.
Javelin. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage.
