Talk:Wind Damage (5e Variant Rule)

Why can't wind just deal bludgeoning or slashing damage? Do we really need a whole new damage type to represent that which could already be adequately represented? SirSprinkles (talk) 17:33, 23 January 2018 (MST)
I made Wind Damage because I felt like air wasn't represented properly in terms of elemental damage. Sure, there's bludgeoning and slashing damage, but there are a ton of spells in the game that would have more flavor if they had their own element associated with it. I think it'd also be fun to have new resistances and immunities for certain monsters! :) --EpicBoss99 (talk) 19:51, 23 January 2018 (MST)
It's looking better, but I would also suggest showing which monsters deal wind damage. The air elemental's whirlwind is an obvious starting place. Conversly, you also need to show which spells can grant wind resistance (perhaps 5e SRD:Protection from Energy?) Marasmusine (talk) 16:20, 29 April 2018 (MDT)
Awesome! Thanks for the pointer! I'll get that done for you soon, but it may take a little while because of some stuff I gotta deal with irl. :) --EpicBoss99 (talk) 16:26, 29 April 2018 (MDT)
