Questions[edit]

What is "Psychic Chrono-damage"? Why not just psychic damage?
What is the "D" component?
Under what circumstances would someone prepare and cast this spell over another spell with more immediate damage potential? The range is only 60 feet, so it seems extremely situational to be casting it without anyone noticing you chant a spell for a full 10 turns.
This last bit isn't a question, but: this spell has extraordinary damage for a 1st-level spell, but it might(?) be balanced considering its cast time. I still think it should be 2nd or 3rd level, at least. - Guy (talk) 02:56, 30 July 2017 (MDT)

I think it is impossible to cast a spell for that long, considering most enemies will just take opportunity attacks when near you, you'll probably die before you're able to cast it. Most fights end on the 6th or 7th turn btw. Yes the damage is ridiculous but the casting time is a huge drawback. Btw, I don't think this is really considered to be divination (apart from the casting part), it seems more like an Illusion to me.
I see your concern, if I remember correctly turns last 6 seconds, it takes this spell 5 turns until it can be casted, and thinking about it, this should be technically 2 schools of magic--Bigdad881 (talk) 15:39, 11 October 2017 (MDT)
Hey Bigdad! I wanted to see what you've been up to and choose this article. Read the talk page and thought I'd help. I edited your spell to reflect 5e style meaning spells don't scale with caster level. They get stronger based on the spell slot used to cast them. I'm not too concerned with schools of magic talk, so have fun with that. I will add, I kept the damage in line with what you were wanting but I think (could be wrong) a 2nd level spell doing 3d8 damage without a save is too strong. I'd recommend making it 3d8 & prone on failed save otherwise half damage and no prone on a successful save. This is still VERY solid spell aka strong but more fair. There should almost always be counter play to spells whether its an attack roll or saving throw. Cheers man/person :) BigShotFancyMan (talk) 08:43, 13 October 2017 (MDT)
One other thing, I third the others' voices about the casting time. Don't get caught up in the logic that it takes 30 seconds. You're signing whatever casters autopsy report by making them cast for 5 rounds.
They.
Will.
Be.
Dead.
