Talk:Solar Knight (5e Class)

This might be a bit premature, but I have a few notes.

  • Power of the glow gives a large bonus to all attacks, all skills and all saving throws.
  • Sun strike: what if I'm not using a sword? How is this feature activated? How long does the bonus last for?
  • Radiance. Make the duration 1 hour per standardized durations.
  • Solar blessing. How is this activated and how long does it last?
  • Solar seal. Missing all the usuals: Activation, targeting, range
  • "once per long rest." in various places should read "You can use this feature again after finishing a long rest."
  • Class Do's and Don'ts (5e Guideline) might be helpful. Marasmusine (talk) 17:55, 21 March 2016 (MDT)
Okay, look, proficiency bonus doesn't change like this. Just say what the bonus is and what rolls it applies to.
I take it Sun Strike doesn't do anything if I choose to use a morningstar, then?
How about "When you make a melee weapon attack you can choose to make it a sun strike. If the sun strike hits, you deal 2d4 radiant damage in addition to the weapon's damage." Marasmusine (talk) 05:29, 30 March 2016 (MDT)

This is honestly my favourite class in existence, Not because its OP, Just because of solar knights, I have an undead Solar Knight just to go with the flow of dark souls in a happy dnd, Thank you for making this \[T]/ GR1ZZLY B34R (talk) 03:52, 8 August 2016 (MDT)

What's the wisdom saving throw DC for attempting to talk to the sun as a follower of the Way of the True Sun? --Pirahna89 (talk) 08:58, 31 August 2018 (MDT)

I remember it being DC 20. But I suggest DM's discretion of removing the Saving throw requirement entirely or Player Solar Knight level + Wisdom modifier. GR1ZZLY B34R (talk) 09:25, 31 August 2018 (MDT)
I figured you'd have to roll a 20 because if it's a check against the Sun's wisdom it is listed as having 100 --2001:8003:6A61:9B00:9C40:D871:A8B3:C72B 19:22, 31 August 2018 (MDT)

There are only 3 features that use Solar Charges unless you count the light you get from having charges. Which the light you have sort of moots the radiance feature. The base class gives +4 bonus to AC, more than any other martial class's fighting style. ~ BigShotFancyMan talk contributions 10:11, 15 March 2019 (MDT)
