Talk:Serrated Sword (5e Equipment)

This weapon is remarkably similar to the sword of wounding in the SRD. The only real differences are that this weapon explicitly doesn't work on constructs or undead, there is no saving throw against the extra necrotic damage, which also can't be applied multiple times against the same target, the effect of the sword of wounding can only be used once each turn and the bleeding ends after a set time. Also, is there any particular reason that this weapon can only be a shortsword instead of any sword? SirSprinkles (talk) 15:36, 29 March 2018 (MDT)

They are really similar, I just attempted to make the sword a magical weapon when it was a mundane one, and the sword of wounding didn't pop into my head when creating this. I am thinking that slightly upping the damage and making it very rare should be enough to differentiate it from the sword of wounding since it already does a lot of things differently than the sword, unless you have any other suggestions on how to make this unique. --Blobby383b (talk) 15:56, 29 March 2018 (MDT)
