Since this no longer is a subrace on top of a subrace plus a base race, and now has limited the lightning absorption to per long rest, it feels a bit more in line with a subrace, at least when I compare it with an elf or dwarf.
But if I put it on a full race like a yuan-ti, then it poses an issue. I do agree with Reference that using the reborn as a template might help alleviate this problem. The consequences of actions is also interestingly reminiscent of something like an option of the faded memories of a reborn.--Yanied (talk) 02:18, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
