Balance and Wikify[edit]

Ok, I just fixed up the preload. I didn't know what to do with the Savage Species thing, so I left it. Also, the kobold is in the first Monster Manual. Does this violate copyrights? I also fixed the 4e racial traits . It had a penalty on it's ability score adjustments. I will be fixing the 4e racial traits some more and I'll fix the power. --Axl 22:02, 1 April 2011 (MDT)

Okay, I fixed it. Whoever created this race (I haven't checked the history yet), in D&D 4e, there are no more penalties to small creatures (except that if a one-handed sword has the versatile property, a Small creature must wield it two-handed unless that weapon has the small property). Plus, there are no bonuses to size. --Axl 22:07, 1 April 2011 (MDT)
I think the reference is good there. Kobolds as a race is not in the Monster Manual, so this race does not need to be a variant. It's fine to add things which are D&D-related, just not things which Wizards has published. --Green Dragon 22:35, 1 April 2011 (MDT)

I keep seeing this with the Draconic/Serpentine races; so I have to ask, Is there actually any thing related to reptile as a keyword? It's not in any official books I have; and I haven't seen any explanation, like with Spiderkind/spider creatures in Arachonomicon: The Book of Spiderkind on this site. You'll find the Reptile keyword in the glossary of your Monster Manual or Monster Vault. Marasmusine (talk) 01:17, 6 March 2014 (MST)

thanks. ReavanKnight (talk) 13:01, 7 March 2014 (MST)

Could Kobolds have a Breath Weapon? They do Worship Dragons like gods. ReavanKnight (talk) 13:12, 10 March 2014 (MDT)

It's something a kobold sorcerer would have. Marasmusine (talk) 15:04, 10 March 2014 (MDT)

In light of changes[edit]

So since kobolds are now an official 4e race should this race be moved to the variants page? or should it remain as it was here before the race was officially released? Additionally I recall that I had a complaint lodged against be for a small race with a speed of 7 (though i had many other things going for it as well), But additionally all kobold monsters without exception have a speed of 6 (5 when the monster is wearing heavy armor though, and one case of clumbsy fly 4), thus their speed of 7 seems a bit unfitting. --Aitharious (talk) 16:12, 7 August 2016 (MDT)

I agree that their speed seems unfitting. Combined with their shifty, that's 8 squares of movement in a turn.--Yanied (talk) 19:08, 18 March 2024 (MDT)
