Talk:Fire Style (Shinobi World Supplement)

Ok so I checked this because we were talking about the Uchiha clan boon. I don't like fire stuff much typically, but can you tell me why the best healing jutsu is attatched to fire and not path of the healer? Also If your going to have the pheonix mode thing do all that it should be split into 2 like Raiju art and the Raiju modes. Or I guess have Raiju art merged into 1, and you just have to chose which version you want to have. Especially since you don't have the same restriction to using jutsu that happy raiju mode has. Plus to get into a raiju mode it costs 20 chakra. The chakra recovery bit from Raiju mode is pretty good though, still not sure it evens out, especially since pheonix mode's duration is 10 x longer. Same with flame chakra mode. Lightning style chakra mode is split into 2 with lightning cloak. So either those should be merged or this one should be split. I'd say they are pretty comparable in terms of powers granted. Lightning armor has a slightly lower start cost, even if you add on cloaks cost, but its bonus feature costs 5 chakra for each use. The ac boost is the same, and lightning armor costs an additional chakra to maintain each turn. I'd say merge cloak and armor into 1 thing, but if splitting this one is more balanced than thats fine. I caught something I typed that looked a little mean, so if there were any of those I missed sorry, swear it just didn't come out right I really like your work.--Azura (talk) 20:42, 27 January 2023 (MST)

Phoenix Regeneration was not added by me, and has stayed under the radar for a while; I've merged it with Phoenix Form, since there was nothing particularly "rise from the ashes" about it initially. While Raiju Art and its modes cost more for about the same effect, they also don't require concentration. Lightning Chakra Mode was split into two jutsu because it was originally just Lightning Cloak, which didn't fully capture what LCM was capable of but was already being used (also there's the whole thing about LCM V1 & V2, but those are fan terms and I don't want to get into it).--Ref3rence (talk) 00:22, 28 January 2023 (MST)

Why was great fireball changed back to an attack roll? It doesn't really make sense to me mechanically or practically when it could just be an AOE attack. I understand perhaps wanting to differentiate between the spell Fireball and the jutsu, but still this doesn't seem like the best way. -Jaydon105 (talk) 13:39, 18 April 2023 (MDT)

Few fire style jutsu don't force dexterity saves to not be affected by them, this gives the jutsu itself and the nature a bit more variety, I like to think that when the fire ball is blown out and concentrated on one target, the target can either dodge it or block as seen with Sasuke's fight with Naruto as in the show or an inexperienced user might aim it in the wrong direction, further more if the user aims it at a surface also as in the show, the fire would fan out or explode instead of being a concentrated ball, which is essentially what you're asking to be done and which is possible by not aiming directly at your intended target but at a surface or object, making them one of the creatures forced to make a dexterity saving throw.
This seems like a good medium as it works in both these ways, not to mention that there are multiple sheets in the bestiary which use the great fire ball jutsu in this way so there's no need to change it.

Are there rules for Wind Style jutsu being used to enhance Fire Style, aside from Scorch Style? Say a shinobi casts Fireball Jutsu, then uses Air Bullet on the engulfed area. How would this play out? --SUPERMECHA (talk) 22:07, 25 August 2023 (MDT)

I believe such situations should always be up to the interpretation of the DM P@uL (talk) 01:53, 26 August 2023 (MDT)
