Balance[edit]

Hey guys! I'm the original poster of this subclass. Could you let me know if you think it is balanced or not? I'm thinking of allowing it in my campaign, as I am a DM, so it would be helpful if you think it is balanced or not. Is it too weak, too strong, or just right? Is it unclear to read. Please let me know. Thanks! --MarshDASavage (talk) 09:17, 30 November 2020

Well, at first glance it does seem rather front loaded. While most artificer subclasses have 3-4 features, two of them are always a tool proficiency and spell list, one (more or less)minor feature, and the core feature. Agile Escape feels a bit too strong to be minor, especially as it scales to Evasion. Otherwise, it looks fairly balanced? Agile Escape is really my only gripe. --SwankyPants (talk) 07:22, 30 November 2020 (MST)
Okay, I fixed it. I meant to frontload it a bit, as most Artificer subclasses get their best feature up front then it scales. I wanted to do something a little extra for the class, so that's why I added Agile Escape. I kind of agree that Agile Escape scaling to Evasion is a bit too powerful, so I changed it so if you fail a saving throw you can use your reaction to halve the damage starting at 9th level. I think the proficiency in Dexterity saving throws isn't too overpowered, so hopefully this change fixes its power level. Thanks for your feedback! --MarshDASavage (talk) 12:59, 30 November 2020
