I did quite a bit of searching around to attempt to find the original source of this image. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck. The person who created the Zerak the shadow mage character definitely does not own the copyright to the picture. My suggestion would be to find a different image that you know the artist of. Good luck! --PJammaz (talk) 14:24, 6 May 2020 (MDT)

Spell Description[edit]

No description for shadow spells beyond 1 shadow point. Besides that, wonderful class!

My DM and I are very interested in your Dark Mage(5e Class)! I'm trying to make a character with this class, but I'm having to use the Warlock Spell List in collaboration with your Dark Talents. If possible, could you update the page with any spell descriptions you currently have? --DrNipNipz (talk) 09:16, 5 June 2021 (MDT)

Hey there! Glad you are interested in my class! I'm sorry for not responding sooner. This is still a work in progress. I first created this over a year ago and it had no semblance of balance. I eventually quit it because I didn't have the determination to write 40+ spells just for the class. I recently went in and reworked it, but the features may not be balanced still. I will continue to add spells to the spell list, but I don't know how soon it will be done. If you are going to do use this for a character, then be very careful- it is most likely not balanced, and some of the features may be very strong in comparison to other classes. I am trying to fix this, but it may be a while before it is totally balanced. I would recommend using the Warlock Spell List as a stand-in for the Dark Mage spell list, as it is a good substitute. The way it would work is you would spend shadow points equal to the level of the spell to cast the spell (i.e. spending 2 shadow points to cast a 2nd-level spell). I liked the idea of having a maximum number of points to spend rather than spell slots which force you to constrain yourself to certain leveled spells, so that's what I tried to implement.
TL;DR- If you want to play this class, go ahead but proceed with great caution, and it will definitely be a while before the spells are completed. --MarshDASavage (talk) 16:57, 9 June 2021 (MDT)
