I finally got to start the adventure that uses these. This creature is tough. Hurling rocks up to 60' for 11 damage twice doesn't take PCs much to try and hide. Hit points and AC aren't known numbers but taking 11 damage says I need to run but that rock range, ouch.
Against 1 of these, my group of 4 (warlock, ranged fighter, artificer, and homebrew dragon) the warlock went down and the artificer was at 1 hp (thankfully to the disadvantage of throwing rocks greater that 60' away).
As level 2 characters fighting a CR 2, this was most certainly deadly. Maybe with a high AC "tank" fighter they'd have survived better. I'm not saying change anything because, its just one party's experience. Seeing a more traditional group fight this would be interesting. ~BigShotFancyMan talk 09:52, 29 July 2019 (MDT)
