A Hidden Leaf Village shinobi and member of Team Minato, Obito constantly butted heads with his team mate Kakashi Hatake, only held back by his other team mate Rin Nohara. On one particularly dangerous mission, Kakashi's left eye was cut in half. Despite hating the other boy more than anyone he had ever met, his internal good will called him to help. As the two emotions clashed, they ultimately culminated in a barrage of kunai at the Hidden Stone shinobi, and the awakening of his own Sharingan. However, it was on this same mission that half of his body would be crushed by a large boulder. Knowing his time was running short, he gifted Kakashi his left Sharingan. However, after he had lost consciousness and his team had left, he was rescued by Madara Uchiha and his white zetsus, who slowly nursed him back to health.
