Hellfire Sphere
5th-level Evocation
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 20 feet (10-foot sphere)
Components: Verbal; Vial of ichor, which is consumed in the casting.
Duration: Instantaneous


As you speak in Abyssal, and throw a vial of ichor at your foes, a hellish flame erupts from the spot of contact. Each creature in a 10-foot sphere must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, or take 8d8 fire damage, and an additional 1d4 fire damage each round for 1d4 rounds, as the black fire sets the victim on fire. A creature can use its action to pat out the fire.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each spell level.
