Wrecktangle

Martial Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Wrecktangle 250 gp 3d4 slashing 16 lb. Heavy, Two-Handed, Special

A large rectangular slab of steel with serrated edges. Handles at key points allow the wielder to control the weapon.

Expensive. A character can never gain this weapon as starting equipment from their class.

Weighty. Creatures with a Strength score lower than 15 can't wield the wrecktangle.

Special. In addition to being a weapon, the wrecktangle is considered a shield. However, the wrecktangle's design prevents you from using both its full offensive and defensive capabilities simultaneously. While you wield it as a two-handed weapon, you only benefit from half of its AC bonus as a shield. While you wield it as a one-handed shield, it grants its full AC bonus, but deals only 1d4 slashing damage as an improvised weapon. You can change how you wield it once during your turn (no action required).
