Welcome!

Hello Thefakejoker69, and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you are enjoying D&D Wiki and have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, we recommend you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be asked here. If you need to contact another user, please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help:Portal also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of policies are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our removal process. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (Signature icon.png). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community. Welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Ref3rence (talk) 11:01, 30 September 2021 (MDT)

Demon Slayer (5e Class)[edit]

Howdy, it seems like you are taking issue with changes to the above linked class. First of all, please understand that this is a public wiki, and any page on it belongs to the community, not to any individual user. Secondly, I question if you actually checked my edits of said page. I didn't remove anything, I only commented out subclasses that didn't do anything so as to remove the stub (that is to say, they are still there in the editing window, just not in the viewing window). Other than that, the only thing I did was reword certain features to fit 5e's mechanics, and move the effects of certain features to the levels they occur.--Ref3rence (talk) 10:58, 30 September 2021 (MDT)

Exactly it is public, so maybe wiping other peoples classes when youve admitted youre new isnt a good idea, dont like being called out then dont do it. Welcome to Public wikis like you said, where people can say what they want right? Like you went and wiped other peoples classes even though youve said youre new and that means you probably dont know what youre doing. If you dont like someone elses work dont erase it completely, just make a variant if you think your ideas are so much better.
I wrote my user page header in August of 2019 and have edited and played consistently since. I'd be interested in what exactly I "completely wiped", as you keep stating. As I said, I didn't erase anything on the Demon Slayer class and my "ideas" are changing wording and balance to actually work alongside 5e and don't get stubbed, so what exactly are you talking about?--Ref3rence (talk) 11:42, 30 September 2021 (MDT)
As an addendum since you seem to not like reading edit descriptions, please avoid blanking this page again. The discussion was moved here because discussions take place on talk pages, not main pages (or in this case user talk pages instead of user pages), and keeping a record of the discussion is important.--Ref3rence (talk) 11:47, 30 September 2021 (MDT)
