Troll, Giant (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
- 1 Troll, Giant
- 2 Troll, Giant Traits
An inexperience group of adventurers attempted to slay the creature only to flee in horror upon realising they do not know how to kill it.
A hefty brute wanders the forest, a guardian protecting the land from the ravages of 'civilisation'.
The giant green shaman causes his kin to cower in fear as he summons magical fire.
Like many creatures in the world, no one knows the exact origins of Trolls. They are giants, and as such they are thought to be either an off-shoot of true giants who came down from the mountains and somehow adapted to the forests becoming tenacious and dangerous creatures.
Trolls are typically solitary and rarely have any society to speak of. Any larger troll groups typically form around a strong and/or fearsome leader, and occasionally from mutual interests. These larger groups are rarely more than simple tribes.
Trolls often do not bother using names, but if they need use of one they use names adopted from nature, such as;
Male: Tree, Vine, Thorn, Log, Stick, Rock, Brush, Warble,...
Female: Brook, Thistle, River, Leaf, Boulder, Pebble, Chirp,...
