Balancing[edit]

At 1d10, this weapon's damage and range are far too high. At 1d6, it splits the difference between a longbow and hand crossbow, thus giving it a unique place inside the 5e sandbox. While I understand that a lot of Japanese weapons have a sort of mythical status as medieval super-weapons, they really weren't, and even if they were that wouldn't be reason enough to make a weapon far better or identical to anything in the base game. --Ref3rence (talk) 10:51, 12 May 2020 (MDT)
