  • Does body swap drop if the controlled target falls unconscious? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 22:42, 14 December 2021 (MST)
  • Also just to confirm, the chakra sense is a free action? Doesn't clarify ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 23:45, 15 December 2021 (MST)

These have both been clarified on page.--Ref3rence (talk) 08:57, 16 December 2021 (MST)

  • By making it charm dependent, won't that greatly decrease the viability of the whole class, since most higher level enemies have numerous condition immunities?
  • Unconscious is a much harsher condition than paralyzed but if that is the direction you think it should go, the level 15 ability still says paralyzed.
  • Also the high level abilities, like 15, should have some additional bonus to the character since their jutsu will be resisted a lot more now.
  • For the level 10 feature, you may want to clarify that genjutsu learned in this way count as Path of Mind jutsu for the caster, for ignoring the nature rules and such ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 22:44, 16 December 2021 (MST)

While the charm dependency does make it weaker, it also allows a DM to not have every BBEG get stomped, since it would be pretty anticlimactic to build up to, say, Strahd or Ten-Tails Madara only to have them mind controlled and walked off a cliff. Even then, most high level creatures are immune to charm for the simple reason that players having vague control over them would be too powerful, much less direct control. As for 10th level, I feel that "any not path-specific" genjutsu is effective enough, and that not making them path-specific keeps the player having a reason to take Yin Style. --Ref3rence (talk) 09:43, 17 December 2021 (MST)

  • If a jutsu is cast by the Mind Nin while they are controlling another creature, like earth golemn or some other lasting jutsu, does the jutsu still remain under the control of the mind nin if the target beats the control save or the minute duration ends? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 23:47, 25 December 2021 (MST)

This kind of thing is mostly up to how the DM defines control, but I would say the player would keep control, as even while controlling another creature, they are still them. I don't know if that makes much sense, but the simple answer is yes.--Ref3rence (talk) 11:38, 27 December 2021 (MST)

  • Didn't have to deal with this but I had a thought in a game last week. It might make sense that at some point mind-nin gain adv, or maybe can add an additional proficiency, against genjutsu. Thoughts? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 23:53, 11 February 2022 (MST)
  • For the puppet jutsu, it doesn't list what size object had to be. Also I am not sure what the Dexterity save is for? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 18:24, 12 April 2022 (MDT)

This is more of a creativity choices question, for the Mind Puppet Switch Cursed Seal Jutsu, why the choice of the "project series: drone"? are the stats just convenient for the goal of this jutsu or was this an error? ~ CleverNot 19:22, February 2, 2023 (EST)

Project series: drone was chosen because we don't have a dedicated creature page for a living doll. We'll fix this eventually.--Ref3rence (talk) 20:16, 2 February 2023 (MST)
Update: rather than making a new stat block, I've changed the jutsu to a hybrid Mind/Puppetmaster jutsu, as it seemed like a more interesting solution.--Ref3rence (talk) 20:26, 2 February 2023 (MST)

what would the duration and or range of the 7th level alternative feature, Telepathy, I'm thinking the duration would be something like 24 hours, with a range of 10 miles, which is double the range of the Yin style Wave transmission. ~ Mordred013 19:38, march 23, 2023 (CST)

It lasts indefinitely; the main limitation is the number of creatures that can be affected, since it's mostly meant to be used primarily for communication between party members. That being said, restricting it to 10 miles makes a lot of sense for a lot of reasons.--Ref3rence (talk) 21:20, 23 March 2023 (MDT)
