Talk:Particle Style (Shinobi World Supplement)

You may want to specify that creatures do not benefit from Evasion or similar have damage abilities, because this is disintegration zones we're talking about.

  • I assume you charge up one turn and then choose where to place the range the next, as apposed to the jutsu's casting location being picked on cast? or not?
  • What if you substitution teleport some where else afte cast but before damage? Do you pick new area or does the old one stay?
  • I suppose the delay makes sense in some way, but an auto hit doing that much damage is pretty possible with just path of specialisation and 1-8 chakra, depending on feats. With the amount of movement speed everything has in the shinobi hb, idk how anyone is getting hit with this unless already stopped in their tracks by something else.
  • For the second and third jutsu, do those also take a turn charge up or do they trigger automatically? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 22:22, 12 December 2021 (MST)

As stated, the jutsu's range is clearly designated when you use this jutsu. While it is possible to achieve this much auto-damage with Path of Specialization with less chakra, it's also possible to achieve similar bonuses to this jutsu. The main use of this jutsu is against restrained creatures, though I have added explanation on movement, so I don't really see the problem there either.--Ref3rence (talk) 22:37, 12 December 2021 (MST)
  • Not sure what but feels like it should have more powers but i know it isn't very used in show. But at least some kind of basic technique, maybe gives qualities to other jutsu cast for like a minute. or flying speed (but i think fence sitter used earth for that. Any thoughts? ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 21:35, 24 January 2022 (MST)

Out of any nature, this one definitely needs the most jutsu, but there's only one canon Particle Style jutsu, and two from the games. That being said, I'm working on a couple from the Naruto fanon wiki/that I came up with that will hopefully fill out this nature. Also, for the record, Ohnoki used Lightweight Boulder to fly. The current version of the Particle Style Basic Technique is a more narrative disintegrate where you destroy an object you are holding (within reason).--Ref3rence (talk) 12:58, 25 January 2022 (MST)

  • Huge improvement already. Actually feels like the seriously high tier nature that Particle is. Maybe a multi-projectile auto hit jutsu (like sand buckshot and etc)? Also I would maybe rename the rasengan "Particle Style: Atomizing Rasengan" ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 00:46, 26 January 2022 (MST)

That's super fair. I changed the autohit to a line instead of a multiple-projectile to add some variety among the auto-hits, and to make it fit with how most other direct-damage Particle Style jutsu are shaped.--Ref3rence (talk) 10:48, 26 January 2022 (MST)

  • I do like the line instead of multihits, cool concept. Upcast is kinda low, you could maybe do add spellcasting modifier once per additional point spent? Feel like it makes sense given the uniquely flat nature of particle, Just a thought. ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 18:46, 26 January 2022 (MST)
  • One nice idea i had would be it might be cool if all the particle jutsu do double damage to Objects and Constructs? Just a thought that it seems especially good for that. ~~ GentlestGolemn ~~(talk) 15:50, 9 April 2022 (MDT)
