I was really unsure how to incorporate Jynx's Forewarn ability into this race, so I just stuck with Dry Skin (as well as Oblivious). Dry Skin was interesting since I wanted to incorporate not just extra fire damage but the idea of healing when in water, since in the Pokemon games it states that it "Restores HP in rain or when hit by Water-type moves. Reduces HP in harsh sunlight, and increases the damage received from Fire-type moves". Originally it was going to restore 1d8 worth of health per turn, but I realized that technically makes just standing in water possibly better than a Cure Wounds spell, so I reduced it to 1d4. Hopefully I got the wording for the trait right. It scored a 0.5 because the vulnerability (-1) and resistance (0.5) combo resulted in a -0.5, but I felt the ability to regain health would possibly constitute a 1 rating, thus making it a 0.5 total.
Strange Dance is not only an obvious attempt to incorporate Jynx's hypnotic dancing but was also going to be much more involved. It was going to involve using an action to dance and thus charm creatures within 30 feet of you into dropping whatever they were doing and start dancing with you unless the creature took damage or was snapped out of it's charmed state by another creature. However, I couldn't get the trait to sound just right, but ultimately scrapped it because I felt it might be a bit too broken.
Lastly is Lovely Kiss, which is based on Jynx's trademark kisses that put people to sleep. Hopefully I got the wording right for this one.
Also, there are some references to the anime in the History and Society sections.
-"...such as in the place of elves as Saint Nick's helpers" is a reference to Holiday Hi-Jynx, in which Ash and co. must help a Jynx return home to Santa Claus. -"some even work in hospitals as assistant nurses" is in reference to the banned episode The Ice Cave where a Jynx worked with a Nurse Joy instead of the usual Chansey. -The last sentence of the Society section is a reference to the plot of Three Jynx and a Baby!
