Talk:Gyarados (5e Creature)

As requested:

  • The name of the pokemon is spelled wrong. You can fix this with the move tab on top of the page.
  • Electric is not a damage type. Do you mean lightning?
  • Maybe give it more senses? Like darkvision?
  • Also, in the manga, I do believe gyarados can fly. It should have a fly speed so it can move on land and not just swim

All in all, neat. I'm wondering if the vulnerabilities make it a lower CR but that could be just me.--Yanied (talk) 08:22, 25 January 2020 (MST)

I'm a little perplexed that Gyarados has such a high CR here when Genesect, a Legendary Pokemon, only has a CR of 4. --SlaadSack (talk) 08:32, 25 January 2020 (MST)
SlaadSack, the reason for Gyarados having a higher CR is mostly because.... WHat was that... Oh, yeah, It's 21 feet tall! It's a massive draconic-esque creature that really has no reason to be so powerful. Genesect is about our size and is better in an army than anything else and the only reason I could find for it being mythical is that its supposed to 300 million years old. --Flamestarter (talk) 08:54, 25 January 2020 (MST)
And yet there are plenty of Pokemon a fraction of Gyarados's size that are more powerful than it is. Genesect's stats are on par with or better than Gyarados's in every area except its health in the actual Pokemon games. --SlaadSack (talk) 09:02, 25 January 2020 (MST)
SlaadSack, I'm sorry you feel this way, but I put in all the abilities that I thought were suitable for the genesect. I don't see anything wrong with I did, so I think I'm going to keep it. If you want to up the damage of the creature and the CR, you feel free to do that. Until then, however, please leave it be. --Flamestarter (talk) 09:16, 25 January 2020 (MST)
