This race has a score of 5.5 according to the Musicus Meter race guidelines. With this metric, first-party races' scores range from 4.5 to 8. This is a guideline, not a rule, and it's important to use your own judgment alongside this scoring.
This scoring may be the groundwork for a focused {{needsbalance}} usage. A contributor to this page may request a detailed breakdown of this page's balance. Without this information, {{needsbalance}} may then be removed. This meter cannot be the sole basis for a needsbalance template, but may be included as an accessory to a wider discussion of a race's balance.

Not much to say about this one. I mean, I made Hatterene so I had to make its counterpart too. I thought about including Prankster and Frisk in here, but I didn't think giving it Thaumaturgy or proficiency in Investigation made sense, though it might have if I made an Impidimp race instead (especially proficiency in Sleight of Hand given its love of stealing). I also wanted to make False Surrender into a trait, but decided to just mention it in the History section and give it Spirit Break instead, especially since the name worked with Intimidation.

If I had incorporated False Surrender, I imagine it working similarly to the Kobold's "Grovel, Cower, and Beg", but instead giving YOU advantage on your next attack, but that would be pretty much True Strike by another name and you'd have to recharge it too instead of it just being a cantrip. Yeah, it was definitely for the best not to include it.

After making Hatterene and Grimmsnarl, I'm thinking my next race should be a little less...hairy. --MetalShadowOverlord (talk) 14:24, 27 September 2020 (MDT)
