This item increases your melee damage by far too much(this has the potential to add 8d8 damage to a 5th level monk's unarmed strikes, compared to other comarible rare weapons/flame tongue that could only add 4d6 to your attacks), you get a +1 bonus to Armor Class, and this item can repeatedly stun creatures for a variable amount of turns(no round counting).
