- Darkvision is not written out
- Void stomach is very strong and versatile. It could be a race's entire gimmick on its own and with little room for other traits.
- Nightfall is even better than the darkness spell since this means not even devilsight or truesight can see through it. It is way too strong given void stomach.
- DC is incorrectly calculated. Also, should not use charisma for recharge. Racial abilities generally recharge by PB, if they are multi-use.
Overall this race has few traits but boy are they STRONG and they are too much put together. It'd be best to focus on one as a center piece and give this race more roleplay and exploration capabilities than just combat.--Yanied (talk) 20:49, 26 June 2023 (MDT)
Following up a bit from the discord, some suggestions:
- Per Salasay: "Nightfall and Blind Fear and Demonic Horror is too many things, especially since they're all on separate "times per day = proficiency" counters--at the very least, look at how some of the MPMM updates work (eg the hobgoblin's new Fae Gift)"
- I would also limit void stomach's usage overall. See something like how Illithid (5e Race)'s devour brain works in limiting by rest.
