Audino was a pokemon I had no prior plans on making a race for. Truth is I saw an image of an Audino recently, remembered the little guy existed and thought, "Huh, they'd make a great healers" and thus the race was born.

Fey Ancestry was a last minute addition to give Audino a little boost, plus they mega evolve into a fairy type so them having some level of fey influence aside from knowing the language made sense.

I had debated on whether or not Healer should be Innate Magic with just healing spells or if it should just be the Aasimar's Healing Hands by another name. It probably wouldn't have hurt to go with the former idea, but I ultimately decided on the latter.

This little guy is also the first race I've made with a +3 to a single stat. The reason for the +3 in Con is because of how durable Audino is in the games. They can have a max of 410 HP, while no other stat can even touch 300 (two, namely Defense and Special Defense, almost make it at 298 max). With Con like that, I'm just imagining what a Barbarian Audino would look like. Ha! --MetalShadowOverlord (talk) 01:45, 23 February 2019 (MST)

Edit: Got rid of the +3 to Con and instead made it a +2 with Safeguard, which acts like the Goliath's Stone Endurance. --MetalShadowOverlord (talk) 12:41, 23 February 2019 (MST)
