Sword of Flying (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Weapon (Greatsword), Very Rare (Requires attunement)

Someone transferred the enchantment from a Broom of Flying into this sword, but for obvious reason it's use has some differences.

This +1 great sword, which is much wider than a normal great sword, functions like a regular sword until you let it fall horizontal from your hand and speak its command word. It then hovers a foot from the ground and you can step on it like a surfing board in the water, except in the air. It has a flying speed of 50 feet. It can carry up to 400 pounds, but its flying speed becomes 30 feet while carrying over 200 pounds. The sword stops hovering when you land and grab it's handle again.

You can send the sword to travel alone to a destination within 1 mile of you if you speak the command word, name the location, and are familiar with that place. The sword comes back to you when you speak another command word, provided that the sword is still within 1 mile of you.
