This bladed weapon (commonly a sword) appears normal until attuned to a creature, commonly found in the posession of death knights or other servants of undeath when attuned the weapon glows an unearthly color (usually green or black) and siphons the life force of targets it strikes. Undead and constructs are not affected by the soul siphoning effect.

Soul Siphon. This weapon grants temporary hit points equal to the damage it deals, bolstering the strength of it's wielder. However, you can not gain more than 10 temporary hit points from this effect.

Curse. This weapon cannot be relinquished willingly and must be removed using a remove curse or similar spell, and if stolen drives the wielder to retrieve it at any cost, making them feel weakened and disoriented while the weapon is more than 30 feet from the attuned creature, granting them disadvantage on saving throws and attack rolls while the weapon remains 30 feet or more away from the wielder.
