Design Note: This spell uses blood damage. If you are not using blood damage, see the footnote(s) below for alternatives.

Sanguine Blast
Evocation cantrip
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S, M (a drop of blood)
Duration: Instantaneous

You invoke the magical symbol of a blood deity, causing a line of burning blood to appear and streak toward a creature within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target, dealing 1d6 blood damage[1] on a hit.

Contact with this cursed blood can overwhelm a creature's mind. A creature that takes damage from this spell must also make a Wisdom saving throw: On a failed save, it is overcome with bloodlust until the end of its next turn.

At Higher Levels. This spell fires more projectiles as you reach higher levels. The number of projectiles increases at 5th level (2), 11th level (3), and 17th level. You can choose the same target or new targets for each projectile. Make a separate attack roll for each projectile.

Eldritch Invocations. Any eldritch invocation that affects eldritch blast also affects sanguine blast in the same manner.
