New Player's Guide[edit]

A small guide to help new players.

World and the Setting[edit]

Welcome to the world of the Warrior Cats. In this world, groups of feral cats group together to create clans. Each clan has warriors to hunt prey, protect the territory, and fight the battles. Every clan has one or two medicine cats (doctors) to heal the wounded and communicate with starclan (afterlife). Like any proper group, clans are led by the leader and their deputy.

Not all cats are part of the clan. Loners are cats that do not part of any clan. They struggle to survive everyday life. Kittypets are cats that are taken care of by twolegs (humanoid) owners. They live a luxurious lifestyle.

Character Creation[edit]

Step 1: Choose a Subrace[edit]

Choose your genes and birthplace for your cat

Races

Step 2: Background[edit]

You can pick any normal dnd background or pick one of the new warrior themed backgrounds from below:

Background

Step 3: Choose a Class[edit]

It is time to pick a class that your cat will follow. In this low magic world, there are custom classes that are created just for the warrior cats world.

Classes

Step 5: Ability Score[edit]

You create your ability score as a normal dnd.

Step 5: Equipment[edit]

Pick your class and background equipment as normal. These will be replaced with warrior-themed items or features.

Weapons and Armor[edit]

Cats can't wield weapons or wear any armor. This causes a bit of a problem. Thankfully there is a perfect solution for this problem. Armor is replaced by stance and weapon is replaced by the move. Go to the two links below and replace your armor and weapon accordingly.

Tools and Clothing[edit]

As cats do not have thumbs, tools are useless to cats. Cats do not wear clothing unless it is put on them by twoleg (humanoid).

Final Step: Naming[edit]

Your character is near completion. Time to pick a name.

Important Rule Changes[edit]

Arcana[edit]

In a low magic setting, it is no surprise that arcana would be less useful than normal. In the warrior world, there is something else that is as mysterious as magic itself: twolegs (humanoid). Arcana is also used for any skill checks relating to twolegs and their strange objects.

Limited Magic[edit]

Spells that teleport, summon, resurrection, creation, and raise undead cannot be learned or prepared. Magic cannot be used to target twolegs (humanoid) unless it says it targets creatures. Magic cannot be used to communicate or understand twolegs.

Alien Language[edit]

Twoleg's (humanoid) language is far too complex and strange to understand. No magic, feature, or item can make a cat understand or speak twoleg's language. This includes telepathic communication. Only Tongues Expertise Kittypet Cat can get close to understanding twoleg.
