Light Katana (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: How exactly can a melee weapon be "rapid" in its own right? If the special property is how a light-weight weapon functions uniquely, shouldn't every light weapon get this property (maybe as a variant rule or fighting style instead of as a singular weapon)? Isn’t a light katana just a wakizashi?

Light Katana

Martial Melee Weapons
Weapon Cost Damage Weight Properties
Light Katana 20 gp 1d3 slashing 3 lb. Finesse, special

This one-handed katana is not particularly strong but is really rapid and gives you the opportunity to bombard your enemies with a lot of attacks.

Special

When take the Attack action and make a melee attack with the light katana, if you have one hand free, as a bonus action you can make two quick attacks against the same target using a quick slash. On a hit, each attack deals 1d3 slashing damage and you don't add your ability modifier to the attack's damage roll.
