Leopard-chaun[edit]

With the speed of a Catfolk, cunningness of a Leprechaun, and the strength of a feather

Physical Description[edit]

Leopard-chauns are small folk with several cat-like features such as fur & retractable claws. They typically have orange fur with blue eyes & always have black spots stippling their skin. The orange fur sometimes rims their faces like a beard. Green eyes, being rare, are prized.

History[edit]

The first litter of leopard-chauns was conceived in a tavern, when Claus Trugeth, the leprechaun ranger, and Kri Flemen, the swashbuckling catfolk, had one too many to drink. They woke up with a hangover and not much memory the next day, departing on their merry way. Upon realizing she was pregnant, Kri flung herself to her doom in insanity. Her litter survived within her however and where her body was cut by sharp stone, the babies burst forth. They survived miraculously with the best luck ever in the woodland near the precipice where their mother died. They were four at first, and this number doesn't go much higher. However, in their small numbers they manage to pull a lot of pranks and reign as some of the best tricksters.

Society[edit]

Leopard-chauns are, due to their rarity, very scattered and enjoy solitude, pranking and playing among the mushrooms and trees. However, they make companions easily thanks to their charismatic nature. In the wilds where their violent birth took place, they are known to convene in small parties where they drink and dance and make merry till dawn. It is also at these gatherings that they mate. Sometimes, like their parents, they are known to get too tipsy and possibly go at it with a guest. That is possibly how the Orcish subrace of this race came to be.

Leopard-chaun Names[edit]

Most leopard-chaun names are just combinations of catfolk and leprechaun names. Boys tend to have leprechaun names and girls tend to have catfolk names. Most leopard-chauns tend to have 'k' noises in their names
