Kinetic Cudgel (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Work In Progress |
Weapon (mace), very rare A simplistic, but expensive, cane with a blue gem placed at its head. The shaft of the cane is made of polished brass with a spiral-groove design. The bottom of the shaft of the cane is slightly scratched and chipped, suggesting that no stopper was used to keep the fine metal from contacting ground. The head of the cane is a large-ish murky, greenish-turquoise gem cut in a oval shape. The gem is framed by a series of thick brass pieces that wrap around the gem, keeping it sturdy and unscathed from combat. Spell Charges The cane has 10 spell charges. While holding it, you can use an Action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it: thunderwave (1 charge), lightning bolt (3 charges), or chain lightning (5 charges). These spells use your spell save DC; if you do not have one, your DC is equal to 8 plus your Intelligence modifier plus your proficiency bonus. The cane regains 1d6+4 expended charges daily at dawn. Forward Momentum During combat, when you expend movement you can expend your bonus action to drag the head of the cane along the ground, provided there is ground to drag the cane on, as a part of your movement. Doing so grants one kinetic charge for every ten (10) feet you move. After doing this, you can expend your action to make one melee attack and add an amount to your attack roll equal to the amount of kinetic charges you have; additionally, you deal an additional amount of lightning damage on the subsequent damage roll equal to an amount of d6s equal to the amount of kinetic charges you have. Kinetically Charged As a bonus action, you may expend any amount of kinetic charges (minimum 1) to deal an additional amount of lightning damage on your next subsequent damage rolls made with this weapon. The amount of additional lightning damage dealt is equal to an amount of d6s equal to the amount of kinetic charges you have. |
