Chakra. Kina has 7 chakra points which he can expend. All chakra points are regained at the end of a long rest.

Kodon Clan. The time and cost of crafting consumable items is halved, rounded up.

Red Chakra. Some of Kina's features grant him "red chakra". If his own chakra is less than his red chakra, he must attempt a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of his turns. On a failure, he is forced to activate Initial Release and is controlled by Roen. This ends if he becomes unconscious, or if Roen chooses to do so willingly. These special "red" chakra are counted separately from his normal chakra. He can use this chakra on one jutsu or spread them across multiple, but he can not spend these points and his own normal chakra points on the same jutsu. This chakra can extend above his chakra point maximum, and is lost at the end of a short rest.

Grudge Tea Kettle Lid. While Kina is unconscious by any means other than dropping to 0 hit points, he is controlled by Roen.

Roen's Absorption. Kina may immediately fail his Red Chakra saving throw to gain Hidden Chakra for 1 minute. If Kina already has Hidden Chakra, he gains Initial Release.

ACTIONS

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Basic Taijutsu Technique (3 Chakra). As a bonus action, Kina makes two unarmed strikes.

Heaven Spear Kick (2 Chakra). Melee Spell Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage. Kina may fly up to 30 feet before making this attack.

Lion Combo (2 Chakra). The target must attempt a DC 14 Strength saving throw. On a failure, they take 4 ((1d4 + 3 / 2) + 1) bludgeoning damage and are pushed 20 feet into the air until the end of Kina's next turn. On a success, they take half as much damage.

Kotaro (1/day). Kina gains Hidden Chakra for 1 minute, and must succeed a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of exhaustion at the end of each of his turns for 1 minute. This can only be ended early by Greater Restoration. If Kina already has Hidden Chakra, he gains Initial Release.

Hidden Chakra. When Kina has less than half his maximum chakra, he gains 2 red chakra. He may use this once, regaining all uses at the end of a long rest.
Initial Release. As a bonus action, Kina enters Initial Release, and he gains the following benefits:
  • The cost of all jutsu Kina knows are reduced in chakra costs by 1 (minimum 1).
  • Kina's movement speed increases by +10 ft.
  • At the start of each of his turns, Kina regains 3 hit points.
  • Kina gains advantage on Strength and Dexterity checks and saving throws.
  • This state ends if Kina chooses to do so as an action, or if he is knocked unconscious.
  • Kina loses 2 chakra and gains 2 red chakra at the end of each of his turns.
  • Kina gains the Roen's Absorption jutsu:
Roen's Absorption Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: they lose 2 chakra points, and Kina regains an equal number of chakra points.

Kina is a skilled fighter of the Howling Wolf Village's Kodon clan, a group of natural drug makers. Despite his skill, his overconfidence, born from a need to redeem his father Tenma, often lead to him losing fights. Unbeknownst to him, his father had sealed the village's great beast, Roen, in a last ditch attempt to protect the village. Living alone with his older brother Reishi, he often lashed out violently when harassed by the Sendo clan, runners of a pharmaceutical company who demanded the secrets to creating the Kodon clan's legendary Kotaro drug, though the process was purely natural and thus impossible to teach. During one outlash, the child accidentally awakened Roen's power, killing the envoy accidentally, mortifying himself until Reishi sedated the child with a form of Kotaro, causing him to forget the event entirely. When Sasuke arrived in Howling Wolf Village, just as his recently-passed older brother Itachi had not long ago, to buy an eye-healing form of Kotaro, Kina tried to befriend him, though Sasuke's unresponsiveness ultimately caused him to drop his ruse and instead propose a trade: he would freely feed and house Sasuke in exchange for his help investigating a string of murders. However, when Sasuke discovered that Reishi may be the perpetrator, killing Sendo members in retaliation, he attempted to disuade Kina's investigation. However, when Kina was kidnapped, but Sasuke and Reishi discovered Kina asleep amid a pile of Sendo guards, the two realized the truth: Roen, in Kina's slumbering body, was the killer. However, they were suddenly attacked by a mob of Howling Wolf Villagers, who were already suspicious of Kina and Reishi and now had direct evidence they were the killers. As Reishi was incapacitated by the beating, the attacks on Kina released his seal, allowing the combined frustration of Kina and Roen to break free, slaughtering villagers left and right. Had Reishi not redid the seal within 10 minutes, Roen would have been released and Kina would have died, but the exhaustion killed Reishi in the process. Knowing that Kina couldn't go home, he modified the memories of any surrounding villagers slightly with a genjutsu; Kina was a hero who valiantly defeated the murderer, Reishi, and sealed away Roen. Warning him that he could only strengthen the seal for 7 years, by which point he would be 18, he offered to take Kina with him to train, but Kina ultimately wished to continue the life he would have had with Reishi.
