weapon (whip), very rare (requires attunement and a dexterity of 16 or higher)

Flesh Renders are horrifying weapons. They are dual whips, made out of black leather that is unable to be burned or otherwise destroyed. They have what looks like natural, curved spines running down the length of the back of each whip. They also ooze black liquid that quickly dissipates after dripping off of the weapons.

This whip receives a +1 bonus to its attack and damage rolls. In addition, a consistent layer of poison on the whip deals additional damage to the opponent when injured by the whip, dealing an additional 1d6 poison damage.

Brutal. Increase the damage die from d4 to d6

Latch. As a Bonus Action, you may attempt to latch your whips onto a creature that you attacked with them this turn. The creature may attempt to make a Strength saving throw. If they succeed, they take 1d6 slashing damage. If they fail, they take 1d6 piercing damage and are restrained. They may attempt to make additional saving throws at the beginning of their turn. If they succeed, they take 2d6 piercing damage and are no longer restrained. During your Action, you may release the creature that you have restrained. In doing so, they take 4d6 piercing damage and are no longer restrained. You can only do this a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier divided by 2 (rounded down). You regain all uses at the end of a long rest.
