Magic Orb, legendary (requires attunement by a creature with draconic sorcerer levels or draconic ancestry, such as a dragonborn) You may attune to multiple eldunarí. Each occupies no additional attunement slot.

Description An eldunarí is a crystalized orb containing the living essence of a dragon. Glowing with shifting color and warmth, it grants its bearer access to the dragon's power, memories, and magic. These orbs are ancient, rare, and jealously guarded or desperately sought after. Holding one is like holding a slumbering god in your palm.

Attunement Requirements Only those with a connection to draconic power—such as sorcerers with Draconic Bloodline origins or creatures with draconic ancestry (e.g., dragonborn, half-dragons, or descendants of true dragons)—can attune to an eldunarí.

Properties Once attuned (through 8 hours of meditation with the orb), the bearer gains access to the following abilities. All uses refresh at dawn unless otherwise specified.

1. Dragon Shape (1/day) You may transform into the specific dragon whose essence inhabits the orb. This functions as the shapechange spell, except you can only assume that dragon’s form. This transformation lasts up to 1 hour and does not require concentration.

2. Breath Weapon (1/day) You can unleash the dragon’s breath weapon. The type, area, and damage match that of the original dragon. You can use this ability in any form, including your base form.

3. Draconic Mind Gain telepathy out to 120 feet.

Cast telekinesis once per dawn (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier).

Gain fluency in Draconic, and the ability to draw upon the dragon's memories for history, arcana, or insight (DM's discretion).

4. Elemental Resistance You gain resistance to the same damage type as the dragon’s breath weapon (e.g., fire for a red dragon, psychic for an amethyst dragon).

5. Spell Empowerment & Ritual Channeling The eldunarí grants additional bonus spell slots and contributes to ritual casting as shown in the table below.

🔥 Eldunarí Power by Dragon Age Dragon Age Bonus Spell Slots Ritual Caster Level Young +1 1st-level spell slot 1st Adult +1 1st-level, +1 2nd-level 3rd Mature +1 2nd-level, +1 3rd-level 5th Old +1 3rd-level, +1 4th-level 7th Very Old +1 4th-level, +1 5th-level 9th Ancient +1 5th-level, +1 6th-level 11th Wyrm +1 6th-level, +1 7th-level 13th Great Wyrm +1 7th-level, +1 8th-level 15th Mythic Wyrm 🐉 +1 8th-level, +1 9th-level 17th

Bonus slots refresh at dawn and may be used to cast any spell you are capable of casting.

When participating in a ritual spell, the eldunarí functions as an additional caster with the level shown.

6. Sentience (Optional) Some eldunarí are sentient items. A sentient eldunarí has the dragon’s:

Mental ability scores (Int, Wis, Cha)

Alignment and a unique personality

The ability to communicate telepathically with its bearer

Possible goals, grudges, or loyalties, which may affect how it grants power

📌 DM Notes Eldunarí may refuse attunement or deny abilities unless certain conditions are met.

You may flavor each orb's powers to reflect the type of dragon it came from (gem dragons might have psionic abilities, metallic dragons may offer healing, etc.).

Mythic Wyrm category can be reserved for unique plot items, draconic demigods, or artificially augmented soul orbs.
