Duration: Instantaneous or up to 1 minute (see text)

If you spend the whole cast time of this spell talking to a humanoid creature of your same race who can understand what you say, you can force the creature to make a Wisdom saving throw. If you or your companions are fighting the creature, the save automatically succeeds. If the creature fail its save, it is charmed by you as long as it remains within 60 feet of you and for 1 minute thereafter.

When the spell ends, the creature realizes that you have used magic to influence its mood and becomes hostile toward you. A creature prone to violence might attack you. Another creature might seek retribution in other ways (at the DM’s discretion), depending on the nature of your interaction with it.
