Devil Assimilation[edit]

In the world of Chainsaw Man, power isn’t always earned—it’s consumed. The flesh of powerful devils doesn’t just rot; it lingers. Saturated with fear and raw malice, their remains act as unnatural catalysts for growth. Those who eat from such devils—be they humans, hybrids, fiends, or devils themselves—can experience a terrifying surge in power that defies their natural limits.

But the effect isn’t the same for everyone. You gain the following benefits depending on the race you are:

Devil. When you consume the flesh of a devil whose Dread Tier is at least 200 tiers higher than your own, you must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the flesh provides no benefit and you gain nothing. On a successful save, you gain an amount of Dread Tiers equal to one-fifth of the consumed devil's current Dread Tier, plus 10 times the consumed devil’s Charisma modifier (rounded down). Additionally, for every 200 Dread Tiers the devil has above your own, your Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores each increase by 1, up to their maximum.
For every 50 Dread Tiers the devil has above your own, the DC of the saving throw increases by 1.
If you are a Fiend, you count as a devil for the purposes of consuming devil flesh.
Human. When you consume the flesh of a devil whose Dread Tier is at least 200 tiers, you must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the overwhelming power of the flesh wracks your body—you gain 3 levels of exhaustion and receive no benefit. On a successful save, you gain the Devil Transformation feat as a contract is enforced and count as a devil with a Dread Tier equal to one-tenth of the consumed devil's current Dread Tier, plus 10 times the consumed devil’s Charisma modifier (rounded down). If you gain the feat through this manner, you must choose the devil whose flesh you've eaten as your chosen devil to gain the features and traits of.
For every 50 Dread Tiers the devil has above your own, the DC of the saving throw increases by 2.
If you are a Hybrid, you count as a human for the purposes of consuming devil flesh. You do not gain the Devil Transformation feat if you are a hybrid.

If you fail the saving throw to consume devil flesh, you cannot attempt to do so again until you finish a long rest. If you gained levels of exhaustion from this failure, you cannot reattempt to consume devil flesh until all levels of exhaustion are removed.

Devil Reformation

When a Fiend eats the flesh of a Devil that has 800 or more Dread Tiers or is a Primal Devil, and succeeds on the associated saving throw, the Fiend reforms back into their Devil form. The Fiend loses any race-related benefits and detriments from the Fiend race and must use the Devil race without any restrictions.
