Weapon (Longsword), Artifact (requires attunement)

This sword was wielded by the Vesuixian god of war, Iros, during the War of the Ageless Realm. Carnage is a longsword with a length of 50 inches, with a blade of dark red, and an invulnerable tube of glass that fills with blood. The hilt is the same color, with gold adornments wrapping it. It is meant to assure victory on the battlefield, and is also known as The Bleeding Sword.

Properties. Carnage gives the wielder 2 minor beneficial properties, 1 major beneficial property, 3 minor detrimental properties, and 1 major detrimental property.

Blood Drinking. Carnage absorbs blood that it comes into contact with. When it deals damage, it gains a number of blood points equal to half of the damage dealt. Carnage can have up to 50 blood points stored at a time. As a bonus action, an attuned creature can spend blood points stored in the blade, dealing Necrotic damage equal to half of the points spent. Carnage loses 1d8 blood points at midnight. While awake, Carnage's blood points gained are equal to the damage dealt and can be used at will.

Victory (Awake). Once per day, the attuned creature can choose to succeed on a saving throw or an attack roll. If they choose to succeed on an attack roll, it is a critical hit. The user can spend 25 blood points to use this ability again.

Sentience (Awake). While awake, Carnage is a Lawful Evil longsword, with an Intelligence of 14, a Wisdom of 18, and a Charisma of 24. It speaks through the blood stored in the blade, and can speak, read, and understand Common and Infernal, with senses out to a range of 60 feet.

Personality (Awake). Carnage feels at its best when it is literally bathing in blood. It speaks with a dry voice and attitude when it is low on blood points, and sounds joyous when it has more than half of its total amount of blood points. It is excitable when there's a chance that it'll be able to kill someone. Carnage holds no feelings toward its previous user, and would love to bathe in his blood. If its blood points are below 5 for more than a day, a conflict occurs.

Unawakened. Carnage has been dormant since its original user lost it. While unawakened, it is a +2 Longsword with all abilities except the ones marked by the Awake tag. When awake, Carnage becomes a +3 Longsword that deals an extra damage dice. Carnage wakes once it is bathed in the blood of a celestial while having 50 blood points.
