Bow of Chance (5e Equipment)

Weapon (Any bow), Rare

This bow is blessed by the twin goddesses of luck, Tymora and Beshaba. While it strikes with unerring accuracy, its targets are not always clear.

When fired normally, this bow acts as a +1 bow with no other properties. However, when you fire it, you can invoke the twin goddesses of luck and take your chances with the weapon. If you do so, two arrows appear in the bow and fire off. Make two ranged attacks with a +4 bonus. The targets are selected randomly from valid targets in the bow's short range that are in your line of sight (DM's discretion), and can be allies or enemies. They cannot be the same creature or object. If there is a structure or object somewhere in that area that you could reasonably be aiming at (i.e. a target), that is also considered to be a valid target for the purposes of these attacks. If there is only one valid target for the bow, one arrow will go after it and the other will strike wherever it will cause the most unintended consequences. This use of the bow requires no ammunition.
