In the chainsaw man universe, blood is an important currency to humans and devils alike. This system aims to implement that into this supplement in order to have the greatest chainsaw man experience for both players and DMs.
- Blood System
The amount of blood points you have are equal to your hit point maximum multiplied by 2, You can only lose blood points via the bleeding condition or if you take slashing or piercing damage. If a human were to run out these blood points they are killed outright however fiends, devils and hybrids will not be able to regenerate.
Hybrids. Upon activating their transformation as a bonus action, the hybrid spends blood points equal to X being Constitution amount. If a hybrid is killed, they may have their needed trigger pulled, with it functioning as activating their transformation and healing up to half their maximum hit points. A hybrid cannot transform if they do not have the required blood points and cannot be revived this way if they're lacking blood. A creature must either use their bonus action or reaction to pull the trigger.
How to gain blood points. If you are a fiend, devil and hybrid, gaining blood from others is extremely simple. You must deal damage to them. Whenever you deal slashing or piercing damage to a creature, you gain blood points equal to 1/3 of the damage dealt.
How to regain blood points. If you are a human, you regain all your blood points on a long rest.
Bleeding. You lose an amount of blood points equal to 1/3 of the damage caused by the bleed condition.
Limb System. When you a limb is severed, you lose an amount of blood points equal to the hit points of the limb
