Saving Throws Dex +6 Spider Climb. The arachemon can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check. Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the arachemon knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web. Web Walker. The arachemon ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing. ACTIONSMultiattack. The arachemon uses Summon Swarm. It then makes two attacks with its claws. Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) poison damage and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Summon Swarm. The arachemon magically summons a swarm of insects (spiders) in an unoccupied space it can see within 5 feet of it. Acid Web (Recharge 5-6). The arachemon throws an acid-covered web in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 7 (2d6) acid damage and is restrained until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn't restrained.

The arachemon is a creature with eight pincers and a pair of large wings with four pairs of eyes. For its size, the creature is surprisingly light, typically weighing only about 70 pounds. Its hide matches the hue of the spiders it hosts, making it difficult to find individual spiders on the creature's body unless one looks closely. By then, one is within range of the arachemon to dismember. |
